Exterior House Plans

As you can see in the house plans, the front of the house will have a lot of brick on it. There will be a small porch with hardy plank siding. On the second level, there are peaks with board & batten on them. We are going with one color option for both the board & batten and the hardy plank siding.
Exterior brick
We've chosen a brick for the foundation. It is called "River Street" by Triangle Brick Company. It will have white mortar (as shown in the photo on the left and middle below).
Notable Charm.
Inspired by the vintage cobblestones that pave Savannah’s historic River Street. This brick offers a color palette comprised of smoked charcoal with accents of black and white. The tumbled edges only add to the charm of this beautiful brick.
Mock up
Here is a picture that was generated using the brick company's online visualizer tool. This is not our house, but it is a close mockup of the color scheme we are going for.

Exterior paint
We are definitely going to be using Sherwin Williams paint colors for the hardy plank siding. We will also have a board & batten in the peaks on the front of the house. The online visualizer tool did not have options for the Sherwin Williams paint colors though, so we will still need to choose those separately. Our flooring company, Special Effects, offered to let us have an interior design consultation free of charge and Brittni helped me choose those paint colors based on the inspiration photo.

However, I'm not sold on this combination. We painted some poster board as samples and as you can see in the photos below, the Oyster Bay color is much lighter in sunlight than expected. It also seems more like a minty blue than a minty gray.

Roof
Our roof will be shingles in the color Slate.
